Underground platform signs.

Signal Indicator Board.

Each Station Master's platform 'box' (office) had one of these boards installed. Made & supplied by the Westinghouse Brake & Saxby Signal Co Ltd, in 1934, and used until the 1977-1980 modernisation. (Many thanks to Brian Lennox of Ayr, for his kind donation of this rare historical item.)

Subway Driver pay check, front & rear views, (Subway Depot).

Conductor pay check, front & rear views, (Whitevale Depot).

A numbered pay check was issued weekly to each employee. They were numbered to denote seniority, and (usually) an abbreviation added to indicate the issuing depot or garage.  There were variations over the years & other checks, for example to allow admittance to the staff toilets at some facillities. On pay day, the check would be handed to the depot pay clerk in exchange for wages. (Thanks to Brian Longworth for this info)
