Strathclyde's Buses Ltd
1986 - 1997
Strathclyde's Buses Ltd was formed as a result of the 1985 Transport Act, which required SPTE to set up a limited company to run it's bus fleet.
1993 saw Strathclyde's Buses Ltd become employee owned through the formation of a parent company, SB Holdings Ltd, which later bought Kelvin Central Buses Ltd, and set up the low cost operator, GCT Comlaw No 313 Ltd.

In 1996, SB Holdings Ltd was acquired by the FirstBus group, and later became First Glasgow.  The Strathclyde's Buses trading name was dropped in 1997.
